WHAT WE WORK WITH

Conditions our Naperville psychologists and therapists treat.

You don’t need a diagnosis to start. But if you’re already navigating one of these, we have a specific page on how we work with it.

Don’t see your concern listed? We work with far more than what’s here. Tell us what’s going on, and we’ll help you find the right path — with us, or with a Naperville colleague who fits better.

OUR APPROACH

Evidence-based therapy, matched to what you’re working on

ACT and CBT for adult therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a core modality across our whole team — values-based work for adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, and the gap between the life you want and the life you’re living. CBT runs alongside it across the team for the thought-behavior loops that keep symptoms cycling.

ERP for OCD — and an evidence-based EMDR alternative for trauma

Exposure and Response Prevention is the gold-standard treatment for OCD — distinct from generic talk therapy. For trauma, we offer an evidence-based EMDR alternative: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and trauma-focused CBT — structured, strongly evidenced approaches to PTSD. We establish safety and stabilization before processing — we don’t rush.

Gottman Method for couples

Our couples-therapy stack: the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy — the Sound Relationship House, repair attempts, the four horsemen. When we’re not the right fit, we say so and refer to a Naperville colleague who is. Honesty about fit is part of the work.

Copay or coinsurance per session

Clients on BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, United Healthcare PPO, or Medicare pay only their plan copay or coinsurance. We verify your benefits before your first session — usually same-day. No surprises at checkout.

Out-of-network billing

If your plan isn’t one we’re in-network with, we bill your out-of-network benefits on your behalf — you don’t submit superbills yourself. We confirm the specifics with you before your first session — no paperwork surprises after.

No package upgrades. No pressure.

We don’t lock you into multi-session packages and we don’t push add-ons. Reaching out doesn’t commit you to anything. We’re not built around sales funnels — we’re built around getting you the right care.

We can verify your benefits before your first session — typically same-day.

What’s between you and feeling better shouldn’t be a fee schedule.

WHY GRYZBEK THERAPY EXISTS

A coordinated Naperville psychology team — specialists in evidence-based care.

Gryzbek Therapy is a psychologist-led Naperville practice — three doctoral psychologists and two masters-level counselors working as one coordinated team. Our approach is matched per case, not a one-size formula: at intake we pair you with the clinician whose training fits what is actually keeping you stuck.

Five clinicians give the practice real depth across testing, adult and adolescent therapy, and couples work — and through the PSYPACT compact, Gryzbek Therapy reaches patients in 40+ states. Evidence-based modalities, honest matching, and a welcoming space that lets people show up as they are.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Common questions before you book.

Do you take insurance?

We are in-network with BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, United Healthcare PPO, and Medicare — we bill those plans directly, and you pay only your copay or coinsurance. For other plans we bill your out-of-network benefits on your behalf — you don’t submit superbills yourself. A limited, need-based sliding scale is available. We help you verify benefits before your first session.

Do you offer telehealth outside Illinois?

Yes — through Dr. Joe Gryzbek, via the PSYPACT interjurisdictional compact. Dr. Gryzbek can see patients located in 40+ PSYPACT participating states. Our other clinicians are licensed in Illinois only and see Illinois residents in person or by telehealth.

How long does therapy take?

Most adult therapy runs 6 to 9 months, with meaningful change often earlier. OCD work with ERP and trauma work with CPT and Prolonged Exposure follow structured, evidence-based protocols. We assess pace together at every step and never drag work out artificially.

Do you prescribe medication?

No. We are a talk-therapy and assessment practice. When medication is part of someone’s plan, we coordinate with their outside psychiatric prescriber. Our office is on N Mill Street in Downtown Naperville, with secure telehealth across Illinois.
