Hello, my name is Sarah Petzold, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Therapy can be a daunting process, which is why I approach clients with empathy, warmth, and support. I prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental environment for clients to explore thoughts and process difficult emotions. Above all, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and individualized care that meets the specific and unique needs of each client.
I practice from an integrative approach and pull from various evidence-based modalities to create a client-centered treatment plan. Some of these modalities include: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Psychodynamic Therapy.
I have experience in working with young adults, adults, and couples to address a multitude of concerns including, but not limited to: anxiety and stress, depression and mood disorders, complex emotions such as anger, guilt, and shame, couple and relationship challenges, life changes and adjustment, self-esteem and self-confidence issues, and self-harm and suicidal thoughts.
