My name is Tim Paquette and I am a licensed clinical psychologist at Gryzbek Therapy Services. For more than 20 years (mostly in a university counseling center), I have provided counseling support to people who take the brave step to address their mental health concerns. That starts with the working relationship I create that focuses on each person’s unique concerns, experiences, perspectives, and identities. My areas of expertise include anxiety/OCD, depression, grief/loss, men’s issues, and relationship concerns with an emphasis on healthy communication. I have experience working with late adolescents and college students as well as clients from across the diversity spectrum with intersecting identities. I’m a strong believer that our past relationship experiences can impact our current concerns and the ways we learn to cope in both healthy and unhealthy ways. I focus on using the therapeutic relationship to help people address their concerns and make changes in their daily lives as they put increased self-awareness into practice.
In my free time, I love working in the yard and digging in the dirt for my next landscape project. I am passionate (obsessive?) about all genres of music and have been a movie enthusiast from a young age. I try to catch as much live music as possible and often feel most connected to the humanity of others while watching a show together. There is nothing more important than spending quality time with my wife and two young adult children, and this usually involves eating good food, telling stories, laughing, and savoring the next chocolate dessert.
